The following graphic illustration and table cover 71 years of the ACC Championships from 1953-2023. During this period there were 16 teams involved including Maryland and South Carolina that are no longer in the ACC. Currently the ACC includes 14 teams. Twelve teams have won or shared ACC championships including: Clemson (21), Florida State (16), Maryland (9), Duke (7), NC State (7), North Carolina (5), VA Tech (4), Georgia Tech (2), Wake Forest (2), Virginia (2), Pittsburgh (1), and South Carolina (1). The teams with no ACC Championships include Boston College, Miami, Louisville, and Syracuse. Boston College joined the ACC in 2005, Miami and VA Tech joined in 2004, Louisville joined in 2014, and Syracuse joined in 2011.
